How Iskall’s Treasure Island Works
Iskall made the rules simple, over many many signs. To put it simply, you place a diamond block on the stack of diamonds, to take a shulker box, or ‘treasure gem,’ from the shulker pile. The box can contain many amazing things, or be empty. From fully enchanted elytra, diamond blocks, to Larry the pufferfish, you are always guaranteed a great value from your purchase.
The Shop and Marketing Strategies
The shop has a very interesting design. Iskall separated a spot in the shopping district with water, creating an island. He placed a stack of diamond blocks and a stack of treasure gems on it. With a few more island-themed design choices, it was done.
After creating his beautiful shopfront, Iskall had to advertise. He sent a message in chat, to which multiple hermits responded. He also sent a message to the target Hermit, Keralis. Known for his in-game gambling love, Keralis is the ideal target for the treasure island. The final advertising tool, he put 21 of his own diamond blocks on the diamond pile to increase visibility. These were the last of the diamonds from his vault, so this shop has to work.
Did It Work?
The final question, did it work? Iskall created the shop to make him rich, and now we will go over whether that happened.
Impulse went to the shop but only spent 6 diamond blocks. (He bought all of the yellow boxes.) Xisuma went and had terrible luck in his two boxes of choice, both light blue boxes. These total to 8 diamond blocks. Keralis spent 9 diamond blocks, bringing the total up to 17. This was not exactly all of his money, but it should make Iskall happy.
